Children' Christmas Party - Support from Waitrose
Thank you to everyone who 'voted' for NAB in the Community Matters programme at Waitrose in Kingsthorpe. We received a magnificent £371 to go towards the Christmas Party for Visually Impaired Children and their Families.

The Party will be held at Wardington Court on Saturday, 6th December starting at 2.00pm and all children with visual impairments will be welcome.

For more information, speak to Jane or Jenny on 01604 716044.

Age Related Macular Degeneration
It is now confirmed by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) that the drug Lucentis can be used to treat the 'wet' version of macular degeneration on the National Health. This means that the decision to treat individual patients will be made purely on clinical grounds.

This is wonderful news for many hundreds of people. It is hoped that arrangements for treatment to be provided locally will be in place in the near future.
