Sound News is based on articles taken from the Chronicle & Echo for the Northampton area and South Northants, whilst articles from the Evening Telegraph are used for Kettering/Corby/Oundle & District areas.
Our recordings are made on standard cassettes and can be played on any normal cassette player. If you do not own a cassette player we may be able to loan you one indefinitely, free of charge.
The Sound News tape is produced weekly and is sent by post to our listeners every Wednesday. A magazine tape is also provided each week and is sent by post every Friday.
Royal Mail handle the tapes as First Class Post and they are sent as FREEPOST.
The service, which sends out in the region of 62,000 tapes a year, is operated entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers.
